I started my training as an industrial mechanic in 1996 – inspired by my father, who had worked at Uhrenwerke Ruhla before ruhlamat was founded in 1991. After a few years in production, I was given the opportunity to enter the field of industrial image processing. What began with simple commissioning has developed into a complex field of work over the years: Today, I develop individual automation solutions for our customers – technically sophisticated, internationally oriented and always on the lookout for the best idea.

I particularly appreciate the open cooperation in the team, the collegial exchange and the opportunity to contribute my own ideas. For me, MackSmaTec stands for partnership, innovation and flexibility - exactly what I want from my job.

I have been a training manager in the technical area since 2009 – and it is a real concern of mine to equip our trainees with everything they need for a successful start to their careers.

It is particularly important to me that we not only train them, but also support them as future colleagues. Many of our trainees stay with us after their training - this shows that we not only impart knowledge, but also offer prospects.

Working with young people is challenging, but also incredibly fulfilling. It always inspires me to see how they surpass themselves both professionally and personally.

I started as a control system designer in the fall of 2014. I was welcomed openly from day one and quickly felt part of the team. Today, I work in project management and really appreciate being able to take on responsibility and contribute my own ideas.

What I still love today is the corporate culture. Despite the size of the company, there is a family atmosphere characterized by openness and trust. The flexibility in terms of working hours really helps me to combine work and family life - that's not a given and is a real plus for me.

As an experienced machine manufacturer, MackSmaTec has been bringing high-quality technologies to the global market for years - we do this with passion, a spirit of innovation and a strong team. For me, the many small but valuable moments are special: an inspiring business trip, a motivating company run or the personal atmosphere at our celebrations. This community spirit makes all the difference – and that's exactly why I enjoy working here so much.

That's how my journey to MackSmaTec began in 2020. A job advertisement matched my profile perfectly, and the more I learned about the company, the clearer it became: This is the right place for me. Many of the values matched my own, the chemistry was an immediate fit and I knew that I wanted to be part of the community here.

Today, I head up the Integrated Management System and still find my work exciting and meaningful. I am particularly pleased when colleagues openly point out opportunities for improvement and contribute their own ideas. This commitment shows how much potential there is in the team and how valuable the mutual exchange is.

What makes MackSmaTec special for me are the flat hierarchies, direct communication and honest cooperation. The management attaches great importance to cooperation - you can feel that at events, internal projects and in day-to-day business.

After eight years in other companies, I took the opportunity to join MackSmaTec - initially as an industrial mechanic in assembly. Here I was able to contribute my experience and support young employees at the same time. It didn't take long for me to realize: Training is exactly my thing. So I applied for the job as a trainer and today I enjoy accompanying our trainees on their way.

What particularly inspires me here is the respectful cooperation. I have been taken seriously and supported in all the departments I have worked in so far. I really enjoy working with young people – especially when you see how they develop and take on responsibility themselves.

Our training is practical, structured and of a high standard. From day one, the trainees are involved in real processes, work together across disciplines and learn from each other. Projects are developed across departments - and this not only strengthens professional skills, but also team spirit. For me, that's what good training is all about and that's what I enjoy doing here every day.
